We totally recommend this hotel to friends coming to Alice Springs. The pool was a bonus for relaxing.

Good location, (mostly) friendly staff, spacious room with (noisy!) fridge.

This is definitely a backpackers place - don't expect the fact that you can book a non-dorm room to change that. The bathroom was in need of decoration, although it did all function ok. Likewise the bedding - clean but had the odd stain etc... I don't imagine everyone would be a fan of the mouse in our room! & don't believe the signs about breakfast times at the weekend - ask at the desk for the *real* times...

Close to the centre of town (easy walk), awesome pool area & clean room with bathroom.

Samson, the pet lizard! He just walks around the reception area all day which was cool!!! They also had a pet snake Crumpet which everyone could hold and get photo's with. I booked my tour through these guys and they really care about what they sell you and know their stuff! Would definitely recommend! Its nice, cheap and close to town, just what I was looking for.

Our room was really big and we had a nice private bathroom. Towels were included.

Around 4 am there was a lot of noise from the other guests staying there, making it impossible to sleep anymore.

Haven was a short walk to Alice prings CBD. Free transfer from Airport to Haven + only $10 for the Haven to airport transfer (others charged you $20pp each way!) The free breakfast offer was basic but filling (toast most days + pancakes on Saturdays)

Alot of people comming and going in the early hours (not good if you're looking for a sleep-in)

I liked how all the people that I encountered during my stay were very friendly and welcoming, whether it be staff or other guests. Also, help was freely given and explanations were very helpful.

I liked its location and although a backpakers we still had our own space with onsuite. The shared kitchens were a little unclean but basically had eveything we needed. I also liked the fact that they put out bread and toasters plus butter and condiments every morning for all to help themselves to. It was close to the town and rail station and easy to get to and from. The staff were all helpful. There was a bank of computers as well and reasonably priced to use, with skype ability although the letters were missing of most of the keyboards which made it slower to use.

The keyboards on the computors needed replacing as a lot of the letters were missing and slowed down use. If there was somewhere to hang up tea towels then the dishes may have been cleaner in kitchen. I was glad we had some tea towels of our own.

great tasting free pancake on Sunday mornings. Free storage for the week away. very convenient place to use as a base. Thanks

Good price and facilities

10 minutes walk to city center, along a main road with traffic and need to cross a railway. Swimming pool was out of use (empty).

Great location and helpful staff. Pool is small but ok. Communal facilities, like kitchen & bbq, for those who like it.

Room was a bit musty; maybe they should install bathroom ventilation to tackle the problem. Being a backpacker location, noise level was requiring earplugs (but that´s ok, as it was clearly indicated before).

Room without table/shelf or other things to put something, only beds and 1 sofa. No mirror in the toilette, how can I cut my beard ? Dirties swimming pool.

Personel was friendly.

There were spiderwebs in the room and the laundry was not very clean. It was longer walking to town than we expected. It is at least a 20 minute walk.
